MeatLIQUOR was our second stop on our Wing Tour of Brighton. Wings had been highly recommended by some friends and we were excited to try them. I have also been wanting to visit this restaurant/bar for a while!
The menu here is super extensive and offers some amazing burgers however we were here for the wings. We also ordered the hash browns, fried pickles and Monkey Fingers to accompany our Buffalo Chicken Wings.
Buffalo Chicken Wings
We were a little disappointed with the wings. They were the smallest drumettes and flats we had and were very dry. It reminded me of wings that had been cooked off in the oven and then flash fried to bring them back up to temperature. The buffalo sauce was lacking and the wings were overly crispy. Unfortunately there was nothing notable here and the portion of wings was priced at £8.50 so value for money was very poor.
HOWEVER: the accompanying Monkey Fingers (battered chicken tenders) were incredible. They were saucy and fresh and juicy and just… delicious.
This is a wing review and based on the wings alone which were dry, overcooked and tiny. If we included the Monkey Fingers and other accompaniments we would be rating four-clucks.
